Weddings

        

June 10, 1881

St. Paul’s Church, Esquimalt, was crowded last evening, the occasion being the nuptials of Gervas Fountayne Wake, Esq., to Amy Rosamond , daughter of the late Capt. Wake. The ceremony wasperformed by Ven. Archdeacon Mason. The bridesmaids were Miss Susan Crease, Miss W. Mackenzie, Miss F. Innes, and Myra Wake, sister of 

the bride. The best man was Mr.George F. Wake, brother of the bride, and cousin of the bridegroom. The bride was given away by Baldwin Wake, of Valdez Island. The church was beautifully decorated, and the service was fully choral, the choir being reinforced by members of the Victoria choir and
sailors of HM ships in the harbour.
 

Mr. Andrews,organist,  conducting.  The wedding march was played by Mrs.Leech                                

June 1, 1886.At St. Paul’s Church on June 1, by Rev. Arthur Beanlands , assisted by Rev, Henry Head, Henry Colbourne Maunoir Ridley of Kamloops, to Florence Myra Wake, youngest daughter of the late Capt. Wake, Royal Navy.
