Bc records, record: And Alfred Horie Construction Co. Ltd, which was founded in 1893 and is responsible for the construction of the Entrance Island lighthouse near Nanaimo. This probably refers to the refurbishing in 1905


Entrance Island Lighthouse

Location on a small island off the mouth of Nanaimo harbour about 13 Km, or 1 km of the northeast tip of Gabriola Island.

The lighthouse was an important safety aid to navigation from that time till the present.

the museum has pictures of the lighthouse on display and the fog horn from entrance island.
